Kelly Western has been practicing yoga since 2000. She is a self-described "stiff person" and credits all of her flexibility to a regular yoga practice. She retreated to the mountains of Colorado for a month-long teacher training in 2007 and immersed herself in the exploration of yoga, anatomy, meditation and ceremony. In 2008 she opened Yoga off Broadway, a community focused yoga studio in Eagle, CO. She moved back to the Boston area in 2013 and has been teaching Yoga for Stiff People classes in and around Boston for the last 9 years. Her teacher training is based in Hatha style yoga- which is a very traditional form of yoga, but she says that her greatest influences come from her students and designing classes to meet each of their needs. Her classes tend to be light hearted and fun, so come to her class expecting to feel good and leave smiling.
