Concord Recreation, together with design firm Weston & Sampson, is conducting an assessment to understand opportunities and challenges in the town’s current recreational facilities and to guide operational, staffing and budgeting decisions for Concord Recreation and other key town departments. The study has been funded through Community Preservation Act funds and has a target completion date of late fall 2023.
The Concord Recreation Department invites members of the public to visit our project table at the upcoming summer concert series event on July 20th. Consultants Weston and Sampson will be hosting a public information table to share conceptual ideas for each of the four priority sites voted most highly at the Stow Street Block Party. Sites will include 2229 Main Street, Baker Ave. Boat Launch area, the CCHS Skate Park site, and Cousins Field). We encourage residents and facility users to visit the table to check out these designs and vote on prioritization.
